Alexander Wang Spring 2013 – Edgy Geometric Cut-Out Dresses

Rocking minimal makeup with a strip taped on their center-parted hair, the models at Alexander Wang Spring 2013 sashayed down the runway in a collection that’s mostly monochromic and geometric.
There were leather tunics, cropped parkas, voluminous jackets, and loose-fitting shirts, but the dresses – with cut-out geometric pieces threaded together by thin strands of thread – were unquestionably the highlights of the show.
Edgy and daring, the frocks strategically censored key body parts. Laura Brown of Harper’s Bazaar singled out the futuristic cut-out silver dress as her fave. “There’s always a sexiness to [Wang's] clothes, but this season he brought a glamour, too,” Brown told Associated Press.
The pencil-skirt-and-cable-knit-sweater looks, as well as the gladiator-like boots and sandals that perfectly complemented the models’ hair, were also stupefying.
Nine models donning all-white stood in position at the end of the show. Lights went out, and they were transformed into human neon glow sticks.
